The BRDC, who are owners of Silverstone circuit held a design competition for their new clubhouse. The members voting for the Ridge design. The Club's intention was to build a dynamic contemporary building for their future home.
The building has a ground floor restaurant and bar which seats 120 and extends onto the lawned garden which surrounds the clubhouse. There is a low level viewing canal at the entrance to the pit lane which is not for the faint hearted.
The top floor is an open roof terrace which is covered with a dramatic wing like tensile fabric roof allowing outdoor motor racing viewing in all weathers. There are magnificent views of the circuit from the top.
